Who knew my love for all things glamor could turn into a ministry!! Well, before a ministry was even a thought, my love for all things glamor came from my grandmother and her sister, my great aunt. They were fashionistas before the term existed. Their Neiman-Marcus, Saks and other sale catalogs were my fashion magazines. I was 5 or 6 years old, and I really thought the sales catalogs were magazines. 

Fast forward, my love for all things fashion would evolve from scrolling fashion magazines to actually modeling those fashions. “The Godly Glow” concept came about while being a model and runway coach. As a coach, I could sense how the models felt about themselves through their walk. It occurred to me, if models need a confidence boost, what about the everyday woman??  

The everyday woman wears many hats. Under those hats, she may or may not feel good about herself or her style. As the saying goes, “if you look good you feel good”; but in reality, some women look amazing on the outside and feel the total opposite on the inside. 

This is where my thought of creating a Wholistic Styling event came into play. But “The Godly Glow” title had not been born yet. This would be a multifaceted event created for women of all ages. It would encourage women to: embrace who they are  through fashion and the word of The Most High. 

No longer just a concept, “The Godly Glow” is a two-part event that begins with a safe space for women to have conversations about all things women, and the use of scriptures to heal and empower. The event concludes with a make-over and stylists to help women refresh or revamp their style. The goal is for women to leave feeling empowered, looking amazing and walking with confidence because they now have, “The Godly Glow”!!!
